From the collection of longtime IOC member James Worrall—two commemorative medals issued for the Sapporo 1972 Winter Olympics. The first medal, issued by the Governor of Hokkaido, 63 mm, 150 gm, features a front with the Sapporo Games emblem with encircled English text, and the reverse features an embossed outline of the Japanese island of Hokkaido; the second medal, issued by the Japan Sport Fund Raising Association, 51 mm, 104 gm, features the Sapporo logo with English and Japanese text, and the reverse shows a muscular athlete with crossed arms in relief. Both include their original presentation cases.
