Two White House cards, both 4.25 x 2.75, individually signed in fountain pen by Calvin and Grace Coolidge; the Calvin White House card is signed as president. Includes an ink signature of their son, John C. Coolidge, on an off-white 3.5 x 2.5 card. In overall very fine condition.
Accompanied by two handwritten letters: one from the original recipient of the Calvin Coolidge signed White House card, November 1, 1925; and another from Ellen Dunbar, a former teacher of the future president when he was a child in Plymouth, Vermont. The Dunbar letter is actually quite wonderful and contains fascinating snippets about Coolidge as a youngster.
