(Walt Disney Studios, 2002) Original master background painting and layout drawing from Cinderella II: Dreams Come True, which shows a stunning overhead view of the marketplace and the surrounding town. The beautifully rendered scene depicts a multitude of rooftops, steeples, chimneys, homes, and buildings, with the background featuring a distant forest, cloudy sky, and the immense faraway castle of Cinderella. Accomplished in gouache on 17 x 11.25 artist board, with the lower border bearing an affixed production label: "Marketplace—From Rooftop, bg scheme: Ext / Day, Cinderella Stories, 4363-701, seq: 2.45." Total image measures 15.25 x 9.25. Lower left bears a hand-painted seal that reads: "Walt Disney Television Animation, Original Production Background."
Included with the background is a sky-and-clouds production cel with hand-painted background, 17.5 x 11.5, and a preliminary production drawing for the marketplace background, accomplished in graphite and colored pencil on 13 x 9.5 animation sheet; both are marked as Seq. 2.80. In overall fine condition. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Disney Auctions.
