Description

ALS signed “Benj. Harrison,” one page, 4.5 x 7, December 14, 1894. Handwritten letter to Hon. John C. New, in full: "Let me introduce you to Mr. George W. Turner of the New York Recorder who has come to our city on some business & desires some information that you can give him. I will be glad if you will show him such kindness as you can." In fine condition, with light toning from prior display. Accompanied by the original transmittal envelope, addressed in Harrison's hand. John C. New was a banker and lawyer who served as Treasurer of the United States from 1875 to 1876.
