Wild Heerbrugg T2 theodolite built in Switzerland, circa 1950s, housed in its original 6.75″ x 14″ x 6.75″ carrying case with leather strap. The stand is marked: "Wild, Heerbrugg, Switzerland, T2-45750." In very good to fine condition. This is an appealing example of a classic and influential opto-mechanical theodolite, widely used in a variety of surveying applications worldwide. Consignor notes that it originated from Doc Draper's Gyro Lab at MIT, and a piece of masking tape marked "Gyro Lab" is applied to the case.
