Rare 4.25 x 6.5 cabinet photo of Thomas Hardy, signed at the bottom of the image in black ink, "Thomas Hardy." Published by Elliott & Fry of London and captioned in the lower border, "Mr. Thomas Hardy, Author of 'Far From The Madding Crowd.'" In fine condition, with old adhesive residue in the bottom border, and light silvering to the darker areas of the image.
