Description

French financier (1770-1846) who was one of the wealthiest speculators of the Napoleonic era. Partly-printed DS, signed “G. J. Ouvrard,” one page, 11.5 x 16, February 6, 1836. Ornate Spanish bond of nominal value/interest: $940/47 (Madrid), Flor. 2400/12 (Amsterdam), £200/10 (London), Fr. 5076/253.80 (Paris). Signed in ink by Ouvrard as "El Contratante." In fine condition.
