Railroad inventor, manufacturer, and politician (1817-1882) credited with the invention of the sleeping car and luxurious parlor car. Partly-printed DS, signed "W. Wagner," one page, 11.25 x 8.75, April 1, 1880. Stock certificate issued to A. T. Thomas for 30 shares in the New York Central Sleeping Car Company, signed at the conclusion in ink by Wagner as president. The certificate features a fine vignette of a railroad scene. In fine condition, with an ink cancelation to the signature.
