Significant handwritten ledger page by Howard Carter, one page, 8 x 13, no date but after April 1929. Headed "Excerpt from Ledger, Total Repts. Tut-ankh-Amen Discovery," Carter records four series of payments: "Received of the Late Lord Carnarvon," "Received of Messrs. Frere Cholmeley," "Received of Lady Carnarvon," and "By Sales." The combined sums amount to £16416.842, annotated in the lower right in pencil. In fine condition. A remarkable accounting of the funds received by Carter in the course of the discovery and excavation of King Tut's tomb.
