Vintage glossy 3.5 x 3.5 deckle-edge candid photo of the Beatles with drummer Jimmie Nicol seated at a press conference that took place at the Presidential Hotel in Hong Kong, on June 8, 1964, prior to the band’s performance at the Princess Theatre the following day. The consignor notes that the photo derives the collection of Elsa Goodless, nee Bredan, a former assistant to Freda Kelly at the UK Beatles Fan Club. In very good to fine condition, with overall light creasing. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Tracks. Nicol replaced Ringo Starr from June 3-15, 1964, at the start of the Beatles' World Tour, while Ringo was suffering from tonsillitis and pharyngitis. An extremely rare piece, as Nicol was with the Beatles for under two weeks, playing a total of eight shows.
