Description

DS, signed “Thos. A. Edison,” with his umbrella signature, three pages, 8.5 x 11, November 10, 1926. Document headed “Minutes of the Annual Meeting of the Stockholders of the Edison Storage Battery Supply Company,” which, after a brief nomination, concluded with the election of five directors of the corporation, all of whom sign below in ink and fountain pen: Thomas Edison, Charles Edison, Henry Lanahan, Harry F. Miller, and John V. Miller. Bound with the signed sheet is a typed letter from secretary H. H. Eckert, addressed to the company’s stockholders and requesting they send a proxy if they intend not to be present at the meeting. Includes another bound packet containing a notarized document confirming Eckert’s letter to the stockholders; a document appointing “H. J. Miller” as a proxy to vote in any election held by the company’s stockholders, signed below by Charles Edison and Eckert; and a notarized document signed by F. C. Erwin and W. L. Ramage, confirming their roles as inspectors during the stockholder's election. In fine condition.
