Original 8 x 8 Division of Investigation, U. S. Department of Justice wanted poster for Kathryn Kelly, alias Dolores Whitney, the wife of George Kelly Barnes, otherwise known as 'Machine Gun' Kelly. The poster features two mug shot images, her ten fingerprints, list of relatives (including several of her husband's aliases), and description of offenses: "Kathryn Thorne Kelly was indicted…together with her husband George R. Kelly, and others, and charged with kidnapping Charles F. Urschel at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on July 22, 1933, and transporting him to Paradise, Texas, where he was held for ransom." Addressed on the reverse to George A. L. Leavitt, sheriff of Lebanon, New Hampshire, and postmarked August 31, 1933. In fine condition, with filing holes at the top. Kathryn Kelly and Machine Gun Kelly were ultimately captured, tried, and convicted for the kidnapping of oil tycoon and businessman Charles F. Urschel.
