Description

Official ring-bound NASA checklist entitled "Preliminary Block II CSM Flight Crew Abbreviated Checklist," used by Russell A. Larson of MIT's Instrumentation Laboratory, prepared by the Manned Spacecraft Center's Spacecraft Systems Branch, 6 x 8, August 18, 1967, marked on the front cover in felt tip, "R. Larson." The abbreviated checklist covers prelaunch checks, boost-insertion and separation, abort procedures, guidance and control, navigation programs, rendezvous and docking, crew transfer intravehicular activity, systems management, and emergency procedures. In fine condition, with light wear.

Russ Larson worked as a program engineer and astronaut liaison at MIT's Instrumentation Lab, where he was involved in programming the Lunar Module's Apollo Guidance Computer; he worked directly with the astronaut crews, training them on the simulators and guidance system.
