Chinese-born American film and television actor (1904-1991) who the first Chinese-American contract player signed by RKO, Universal Pictures, and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, and was one of the most prominent Asian actors of American cinema in the mid-20th century. A founding member of the Screen Actors Guild, Luke is remembered for playing Lee Chan in the Charlie Chan films, the original Kato in the 1939-1941 Green Hornet film serials, and Mr. Wing in the Gremlins films. Vintage matte-finish 8 x 10 photo of Luke in a youthful half-length pose with folded arms, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, "To my friend, Harvey Smoyer, with felicitations, from Keye Luke.” In fine condition, with a small crease to the upper right corner.
