Very appealing pair of two silk scarves from the personal collection of Skylab and Space Shuttle astronaut Jack Lousma—a color 26″ x 26″ scarf with a nature design by legendary cosmonaut Alexei Leonov, whose facsimile signature appears in the lower right corner, signed in the right red border in black ink, “A gift from Alexsei Leonov, Jack Lousma”; and a scarce patriotically colored 32″ x 32″ memorial fund scarf made in honor of tragic Apollo 1 astronaut Edward H. White II, featuring two bands of facsimile astronaut autographs, signed in the upper left corner in black ink, “From my personal collection, Jack Lousma.” There were originally only 200 of these White Memorial scarves made for an astronaut wives' luncheon. In overall fine, folded condition, with trivial light soiling and wear to the Leonov scarf. Lousma was the backup docking module pilot for the Apollo-Soyuz Test Project on which Leonov flew. Leonov, an accomplished artist, was the first man to walk in space on March 18, 1965, during the Soviet Voshkod 2 mission.
