Partly-printed vellum DS, signed “George P. R.,” one page, 15.5 x 11.25, June 4, 1814. The future King George IV appoints "Captain George Nolcken of our 83rd Regt. of Foot…to be a Major in Our Army." Signed in the upper left corner by George as Prince Regent, and countersigned at the conclusion by Viscount Sidmouth. The blue seal affixed to the left side remains intact. In very good to fine condition, with scattered staining.
