Jones…A.A.C.S.,” one page both sides, 8.25 x 10.75, January 1, 1853. An invoice of subsistence stores from Fort Merrill Texas, issued by 2nd Lieutenant Al. McRae to Lieutenant William E. Douglas for 150 pounds of bacon, six gallons of vinegar, and six pounds of candles. As Acting Assistant Commissary of Subsistence, Douglas approved and annotates the reverse: “Fort Merrill Texas, Jany. 1st 1853, Invoice of Lieut. A. McRae, Subsistence Stores.” In fine condition.
