Classic actress (1910-1992) remembered for her roles in Frankenstein and The Public Enemy. Scarce original still life painting by actress Mae Clarke, accomplished in oil on a 20 x 16 canvas panel, signed in the lower right corner in paint, "Mae Clarke, 1963." The painting is a classic still life study, portraying several fruits—lemons, grapes, apples, oranges, and a banana—in a tabletop bowl. Clarke writes out the painting's info on the reverse, including the title, "Seven Fruits," and date of completion, "April 1st 1963." In fine condition. Accompanied by a magazine photo of Clarke posing with the painting in her garden.
