"There were hundreds of people left on deck and a lot of panic"

ALS signed “Eleanor Johnson Shuman, Titanic Survivor,” two pages, 5.5 x 7.75, May 15, 1995. Handwritten letter to school teacher Steve Yoken and his students, in part: “I had a wonderful mother and if anyone had an influence on my life it was her. We spent hours together talking about the Titanic and it is her story that I tell. I was just 1 ½ years old at the time. My brother was four. We were put in collapsible D the last lifeboat that was lowered. It was 2:05 a.m. and the Titanic made her final plunge at 2:20 a.m. There were hundreds of people left on deck and a lot of panic.” In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope addressed by Shuman.
