Signer of the Declaration of Independence from Delaware (1734-1817) who later served as president of the Continental Congress, Chief Justice of Pennsylvania, and Governor of Pennsylvania. Partly-printed vellum DS, signed “Tho's M:Kean,” one page, 20.5 x 11.25, June 4, 1806. As governor of Pennsylvania, McKean grants Christian Bock "a certain tract of land, called 'Crookedbottom'…containing Forty three Acres sixty seven perches." Signed in the upper left by Governor Thomas McKean. The seal affixed to the upper left remains intact. Also endorsed on the reverse by Timothy Matlack, the engrosser of the Declaration of Independence. In fine condition, with light toning along the intersecting folds.
