Two items signed by Pulitzer Prize winners: a TLS signed "Booth Tarkington," one page, 5.5 x 7.5, October 24, 1934, in part: "Thank you for looking after the repairs to the Van der Helst Paul Potter personally. The picture arrived in splendid condition and will spend the winter, together with the Goya and other pictures from here, on exhibition in the Portland Art Museum, where I'm sure there'll be much appreciation"; and an ANS, "Study the single-tax idea. It's the net great reform, Hamlin Garland," on an off-white 3.25 x 2.25 card. In overall fine condition.
