Description

Swedish botanist, physician, and zoologist (1707-1778), who laid the foundations for the modern scheme of binomial nomenclature. Ink signature, "C. Linnaeus,” on an off-white 2.5 x .75 slip affixed to a 9.75 x 3.25 sheet, which bears an attached red wax seal excised from a document. In fine condition, with a touch of light soiling. A rare opportunity to own an autograph belonging to the 'father of modern taxonomy.'
