Original hand-drawn Garfield comic strip by Jim Davis, 15 x 5, signed vertically within the first panel, “Jim Davis, 2-18.” Accomplished in ink and artist pencil, the three-panel comic strip features an unsuspecting goldfish being surprised by Garfield, who drops a lemon slice in the fishbowl and says, “I’ll be right back.” Before he can return, Jon Arbuckle pops into the picture and angrily asks: “Okay, who put the lemon wedge in the fishbowl?!” The second panel bears a 2002 Paws copyright and the upper border contains the comic publication date of February 18, 2002. In very fine condition.
