Description

Businessman (1871-1939) who served as president and chairman of the International Mercantile Marine Company from 1916 to 1936. At the time of the Titanic disaster on April 15, 1912, Franklin was in charge of the White Star Line office and terminus affairs at IMM headquarters in New York City. DS, signed “P. A. S. Franklin,” one page, 10.75 x 7.75, September 27, 1915. Stock certificate for 100 shares in the International Mercantile Marine Company issued to Kissel, Kinnicutt & Co. Signed at the conclusion by Philip Albright Small Franklin as the company's vice president. In fine condition.
