American animator and cartoonist (1913-1973) best known for the comic strip Pogo and who began his animation career in 1936 at Walt Disney Studios, contributing to Pinocchio, Fantasia, and Dumbo. Personal check, 6 x 2.75, filled out and signed by Walt Kelly, payable to Cash for $50, January 6, 1965. In fine condition. Encapsulated in a PSA/DNA authentication holder, grading the autograph as "NM-MT 8."
