Hand-addressed mailing envelope, 4.75 x 4.5, filled out by Return J. Meigs, Jr., who addresses the envelope from “Marietta” to his father, “Col’o R. J. Meigs, Kingston, Tennessee,” with Junior adding his franking signature above, “Free, R. J. Meigs, Jr.” Another hand has docketed the upper flap, dating the envelope to July 16, 1809. In very good to fine condition, with light soiling and intersecting folds. Encapsulated in a PSA/DNA authentication holder, grading the autograph as "EX-MT 6."
