Flown flag commemorating the 25th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission, 5.25 x 3, carried aboard the Space Shuttle Columbia during the STS-65 mission from June 8-23, 1994. Affixed to its original color 11 x 14 printed certificate, which reads: "Presented to Richard S. King. This Apollo 11 25th anniversary flag was flown aboard the Orbiter 'Columbia' STS-65, July 8-23, 1994 in commemoration of America's first Lunar Landing Mission." Lower portion bears a facsimile signature. In very good to fine condition, with dampstaining and rippling affecting only the mount, not the flag. Richard Sinclair King, known as ‘Dickey,’ worked as a mathematician at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center for 35 years.
