TLS, one page, 7.25 x 9.75, personal letterhead, February 19, 1964. Letter to Neil M. Thomas, in part: “With reference to the 220 geared Hispano-Suiza engine which is supposed to be in the Eastern hangar in LaGuardia Field, quite frankly it is not owned by me and if they think it is, you can have it without charge. On the other hand, if it is listed as company property I would advise you to get in touch with Jack Simpkins at Eastern Air Lines, 10 Rockefeller Plaza, who is in charge, as I understand it, of all the surplus equipment.” In very good to fine condition, with toning from prior display.
