Dutch citizen (1909-2010) who hid Anne Frank, her family, and four other Dutch Jews from the Nazis during World War II. Together with her colleague Bep Voskuijl, she retrieved Anne Frank's diary after the family was arrested, and kept the papers safe until Otto Frank returned from Auschwitz in June 1945. Uncommon 3.75 x 5.5 photo of Miep Gies holding the published version of The Diary of Anne Frank, signed on the reverse in blue ballpoint. In fine condition.
