AQS on an off-white 3.75 x 2.75 card, signed and dated at the conclusion in ink, "S. F. Smith, Written in 1832, This autograph, Nov. 20, '94." Smith pens the first stanza of his beloved poem 'America,' in full: "My country, 'tis of thee, / Sweet land of liberty, / Of thee I sing; / Land where my fathers died, / Land of the pilgrims' pride, / From every mountain side, / Let freedom ring."
