Document regarding the repayment of a loan that Whistler had made to the Society of British Artists, in part: "I James McNeill Whistler of The Vale King's Road Chelsea in the County of Middlesex Artist hereby require you the Society of British Artists to pay to me at the expiration of six calendar months from the service of this notice the principal sum of £500." In fine condition.
