ALS, one page, 8.25 x 11, Rockefeller Institute for Medical Research letterhead, January 27, 1937. Letter to Dr. Hamilton Holt, president of Rollins College. In part: "I am indeed sorry that circumstances make it impossible again this year for me to visit Rollins College…I had expected to sail today for Europe, but the conference I was to attend has been postponed. The date provisionally selected will necessitate my departure at just about the time of the celebration at Rollins College…I am most grateful to you for your personal interest in wishing to bestow a degree upon me, and am sure you realize that oftentimes matters arise that make a change of plans unavoidable." In fine condition.
