The background is masterfully rendered in exquisite details, bringing out the textures of the stone-and-wood abode. Accomplished in gouache and watercolor on a 29 x 11 sheet. Double-matted and framed to an overall size of 34.5 x 16.5. In fine condition. A dark fantasy adventure film inspired by Welsh mythology, The Black Cauldron pioneered new ground for Disney: it was the studio's first animated film to receive a PG rating as well as the first Disney animated film to feature computer-generated imagery.
