Edward Greene; and an AMS, one page, 7.5 x 9.25, June 8, 1912, featuring five quatrains from his poem “Waiting,” which reads, in part: “Serene, I fold my hands and wait / Nor care for wind, nor tide, nor sea / I rave no more 'gainst time or fate / For lo! my own shall come to me…The stars come nightly to the sky / The tidal wave comes to the sea / Nor time, nor space, nor deep, nor high / Can keep my own away from me.” In overall very good to fine condition, with heavy silvering to the photo, and toning and old fold repairs to the poem. ‘Waiting’ can be found in a variety of poetry anthologies, including The Little Book of American Poets: 1787-1900, published by Riverside Press in 1915.
