Description

American steel magnate (1862-1939) whose Bethlehem Steel became the second largest steel maker in the United States, and one of the most important heavy manufacturers in the world. TLS signed “C. M. Schwab,” one page, 8.5 x 11, personal letterhead, September 14, 1923. Letter to Melville E. Stone, general manager of the Associated Press. In full: "I appreciate your prompt acceptance of my invitation to join my Lehigh University Committee. You name will lend much weight to any undertaking. Thank you, very much." In fine condition, with creasing to the lower right corner.
