One of Napoleon's marshals who was a close personal friend, renowned as one of the most daring and talented generals in the French army (1769-1809). Sought-after manuscript DS, in French, signed “Lannes,” one page, 8 x 12.5, August 30, 1805. Untranslated military order issued by Marshal Lannes as commandant in the Grande Armée. The red wax seal affixed at the bottom is cracked but mostly intact. In very good to fine condition, with heavy intersecting folds and light foxing.
