Scarce 10 x 8 Chrysalis Records circa 1972 matte-finish publicity photo of Procol Harum, signed in the lower border in fountain pen and black ballpoint by Gary Brooker, Chris Copping, Alan Cartwright, B. J. Wilson, Keith Reid (the group's lyricist), and Mick Graham (who replaced Dave Ball), with one member adding the inscription, "To Stuart & Henry." Reverse bears Visualeyes Ltd. and Brian Cooke photography stamps. In very good to fine condition, with a crease to the lower right corner, and light fading to the signatures.
This is the first and only completely signed Procol Harum photograph with Keith Reif, the band's lyricist, that we’ve ever offered or have seen. In mid 1971 the band signed with Chrysalis Records and completed a successful tour of the United Kingdom with their new guitarist Mick Graham, who made his live debut with the band at the Rainbow Theatre in London on September 22, 1972, with the London Symphony Orchestra and he remained in the band until 1977.
The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, The Who,The Doors, Led Zeppelin, and Pink Floyd were just a few of Manny’s Music customers who frequented the store and who signed photographs that were displayed on the walls of this now legendary store on 48th Street in Manhattan. Signed photos that have adorned the walls of Manny’s are very rare and much sought after by collectors.
