Vintage magazine advertisement removed from the June 28, 1952 issue of the Saturday Evening Post, 10.5 x 13.5, which depicts a young Kirk Douglas smiling and holding a Whitman’s Sampler ‘Chocolate & Confections’ box, signed in black felt tip, “Candy is dandy—But liquor is quicker—Kirk Douglas.” Text above quotes Douglas as saying, “‘Here’s how I remember! Why don’t you?,’” and a small box to the lower right promotes his role in the MGM film Tribute to a Bad Man. In fine condition, with wear to edges.
Originates from the family collection of Hollywood legend Kirk Douglas.
