Apple Films Ltd. business check, 8 x 4, filled out in another hand and signed by Harrison, "George Harrison," payable to Ringo Starr's wife, Maureen Starkey, for £10, March 6, 1970. As the check is not stamped or endorsed, it was evidently never cashed. In fine condition, with light show-through at the top center from a small old tape stain on the back. Maureen Starkey was a hairdresser who married Beatles drummer Ringo Starr in 1965, and sang backup vocals on 'The Continuing Story of Bungalow Bill' from The White Album. She was in attendance at the famous unannounced rooftop concert, which was filmed for the Let It Be documentary—released by Apple Films in 1970. Maureen was also romantically linked to George prior to her divorce from Ringo in 1975. A fantastic, multifaceted piece linking together members of the Beatles' inner circle. Encapsulated in a PSA/DNA authentication holder.
