Color satin-finish 8 x 5.25 photo of the Carters in Jerusalem in March 1979, affixed to a 10.75 x 8.25 mount, signed and inscribed on the mount in black felt tip to his ambassador to Israel, "To Sam and Sallie Lewis, Best Wishes, Rosalynn Carter" and "Jimmy Carter.” Reverse bears a White House credit stamp. In fine condition, with two tiny missing corner tips. Samuel W. Lewis served as United States ambassador to Israel from 1977 to 1985, and played a major part in brokering the Camp David Accords between Israel and Egypt.
