British statesman (1852-1928) who served as prime minister from 1908 to 1916. Desirable matte-finish 5.5 x 8 photo of Asquith in a seated pose, signed in the lower border in fountain pen, "H. H. Asquith." A collector's annotation on the reverse reads: "Presented to Robert Lee Humber by Mr. Herbert Henry Asquith, June 1, 1920." In fine condition, with silvering to the edges of the image.
