ALS as vice president, one page, 6.5 x 8.5, 'Aboard Air Force Two' letterhead, August 10, 1987. Handwritten letter to Red Sullivan, in full: "Thanks for my hat. I start vacation at the end of this week and I'll try some FM pleasure while running. Thanks, too, for the letter. Be sure to save some time for Santa at Christmas. Things are going OK for me. Lots of flak, but that goes with the territory." In fine condition, with some light wrinkling in the upper right corner. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope. The recipient, Red Sullivan, was a friend of the Bushes who worked as a plumber at Fort McNair and who would dress up as Santa Claus during the Christmas season.
