Document headed "Rent of Morris & Essex Railroad, Six Months' Interest on Stock, at Seven per Cent. per Annum," one page both sides, 11.25 x 16.5, July 1, 1869. The ledger page is signed by numerous stockholders, recording receipt of interest payments from the company. One side has a series of eleven affixed revenue stamps affixed along the bottom. In fine condition. Incorporated in 1835, the Morris and Essex Railroad was a railroad across northern New Jersey, later part of the main line of the Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad.
