Canadian-born physician and researcher (1849-1919) who was a founding professor of Johns Hopkins Hospital, widely regarded as the 'Father of Modern Medicine' for his pioneering work in medical assessment, diagnosis, and education. TLS signed “Wm. Osler,” one page, 8 x 6.25, 13 Norham Gardens, Oxford letterhead, June 2, 1911. Letter to Miss Storer, in full: "Thank you so much for taking trouble about my friend's collection, there is no hurry. I believe it is an unusually good one, and pretty rich in the well known English names. My kindest regards to your father. It is so nice to hear that he is keeping well. I enclose you a card of Sargent's, I daresay you have his autograph, but it would do to exchange." In fine condition.
