King George appoints "Our Trusty and Welbeloved Colonel John Smith of Our Royal Regiment of Artillery" as a "Brigadier General in Gibraltar only." Signed in the upper left by King George. The original white and blue paper seals remain affixed to the left side. In fine condition, with light soiling.
