Original seventh draft script for the unfinished Matrixbest Production film Who Killed Bambi?, which was intended to be the Sex Pistols' introduction to the American market. The script, 8.5 x 11.25, 145 pages, dated October 8, 1977, is marked "21" on the title page, with the credits page listing the director as Russ Meyer, the producer as Malcolm McLaren, and Roger Ebert as the screenwriter. Housed in its original green wrappers. In very good condition, with water staining affecting the covers, fore edges, and all interior pages to some degree.
Who Killed Bambi? was cancelled just after a day and a half of shooting, with camps from either side blaming the other: Meyer declared that Sex Pistols manager Malcolm McLaren 'made false promises of financing and was broke,' and McLaren in turn stated the the film's studio, 20th Century Fox, withdrew support after reading the screenplay written by Roger Ebert.
