Souvenir typescript of a USA Today interview with Tibbets about the atomic bomb drop, one page, 8.5 x 11, signed at the conclusion in blue felt tip, "Paul Tibbets." On his thoughts upon dropping the bomb, Tibbets reports: "I had no thoughts, except to do what I'm supposed to do. I had an airplane full of people, and I had a couple airplanes with me. We had to get them out of the way of the bomb blast. The next thing we had to do was prepare ourselves for the shock wave that would be coming up. We did all of these things routinely. There was no problem. We had practiced and practiced." In very fine condition.
