Description

Calhoun certifies a pension for

Partly-printed DS, signed "J. C. Calhoun," one page, 7.5 x 10, May 31, 1820. Revolutionary claim from the War Department certifying that Richard Grinnell, "late an Armourer in the Navy of the Revolution, is inscribed on the Pension List, Roll of the Maine Agency, at the rate of eight dollars per month." Signed at the conclusion by John C. Calhoun. Original paper seal remains affixed to the lower left corner. In very good to fine condition, with trimmed edges, light creasing, and intersecting folds.
