Russian art critic, patron, and ballet impresario (1872-1929) who was the founder of the Ballets Russes, from which many famous dancers and choreographers would arise. Mailing envelope, 6 x 5, addressed in the hand of Sergei Diaghilev to the famed French ballet dancer and choreographer "Signor Sergio Lifar, Hotel Cavour, Milano," with Diaghilev adding his name to the reverse flap. The envelope was postmarked in October 1928. In fine condition.
