Distinguished French general of the Revolutionary Wars (1761-1804) who planned the Pichegru Conspiracy to remove Napoleon from power, leading to his arrest and death. ALS in French, signed “J. Pichegru,” one page, 6.25 x 8, May 9, 1794. Untranslated handwritten letter by Jean-Charles Pichegru. In very good to fine condition, with scattered staining, and a few minor repairs to paper loss (mostly to the address leaf, and not affecting any of the text).
